Description

Warning: Huge description ahead of you! =3

Grelot was originally created for the X-Men Movies rather than Evo, but she's pretty adaptable, so there x3
The template was used because ~ABlackRaptor was asking for XMen Evo OCs for his XMen Evolution Fanfiction, and since I'll probably never write anything more consistant than what follows for Grelot, I guessed I could offer her x3

:bulletgreen:Name: Grelot Fendwick

:bulletgreen:Mutant Alias: Minnie (as in: Mickey Mouse's wife)

:bulletgreen:Age: 18.

:bulletgreen:Date of Birth: April 3rd.

:bulletgreen:Occupation: Mutant Cause Activist, student at Xavier Institute.

:bulletgreen:Residence: California, then Xavier's Institute for Young Gifted.

:bulletgreen:Ethnicity: Afro-American.

:bulletgreen:Mutation: Half Rat & Universal Memory.
:pointr:Half Rat: She has a rat's force & ability (walking on practically anything, high smelling sense etc) but whith a prehensile tail. Also, her incisives grow 1cm a day... she's a real rodent. She also has fur all over her body (short haired thankfully for for her)
:pointr:Universal Memory: She remembers EVERYTHING she sees, smells, ears, tastes of touches. It started on her eighth birthday, and won't stop until she dies. Also, she doesn't need to see it for long to remember it (she could perfectly memorize a NY map in 3secs). She hates that one.

:bulletgreen:Biography:
Grelot describes herself as an insanely lucky girl. She was born nude, with tiny rat ears and the beginning of a tail, and her mother's reaction was to say she was a cuttie. Or at least, she would be when she'd have fur.
This is Grelot's mother: she's a bit crazy. Her father is significantly less expressive, but he stil accepts her as she is, and even pushes her to do things "normal" children don't dare to do.

From the very start, Aloysia Fendwick chooe to treat her daughter as any other little girl. She brought her to swimming babies clubs etc, and put her in elementary school with other children her age.

At age eight, Grelot was "attacked" by some of her classmates. Half a dozen girls from her school trapped her in the girls' bathrooms and depilated part of her belly before someone came in and stopped them.
The same night, as she was crying her eyes out from both emotional and physical pain, she heard something tapping her window: it was her neighbor, Adam Mosley (bio to come) who is a Snake mutant. He helped her get better by talking with her all night long. Afterward, they became friend and saw each other regularly, helping and protecting each other as much as they could.

After this night, Grelot became reckless, more violent and intolerant. She developed a tendency to solve all argument with violence, using claws and teeth as well as her fists and tail. This phase gave her the occasion of learning how to handle dirty fights and how to best use her tail, which is about as strong as an elephant’s trump, which is saying a lot.
As time passed, the fights got worse, she gained more than a kid’s fair share of scars, and started to lose contact with her parents. She really became mean to them, blaming them because they never tried to stop people from attacking them, blaming them for not going upfront against her classmates’ parents and, most of all, blaming them for not approving of her fighting and beating the other kids off. During this period, the kids she had grown up with grew meaner and meaner to her, and she became a lot pickier, quicker to get into fights, for she believed that attack was the best defense.
At age 15 though, one of those fight went badly wrong. She sent three boys from her school to the hospital, one of whom died, and another got stuck in a wheelchair forever. Afterward, as people seemed to hate her more than ever, she realized that their defiance and reject of her were due, for a huge part, to her own behavior. She was also very shocked to have caused someone’s death, for although she had never feared being violent, she had never thought anyone would be killed or seriously injured either. She remained locked up in her bedroom for the four following weeks, and only Adam could approach her without risking to be shouted at, or even worse.

Parents took the whole matter to the tribunal. Grelot was terrified, she was sure she would be killed or something along those lines. She begged her mother, who was a lawyer, to try and avoid any judgment, but both her parents told her that she had to pay for what she had done, only after that would they help her. And so Grelot was judged, and sent to a detention center for underage people.
She had been condemned to a year of imprisonment, yet she stayed there three years. Though Adam did his best to support her (which was difficult, considering he was kept prisoner in his own bedroom) she did not amend very quickly. Her first months were a living hell: people hated her for being a mutant, and she resented them for not accepting her as they could, not to mention that fighting was the only way she knew to take out her anger at that time. Her releasing date was delayed for bad conduct.
After the first two years, she discovered dance. She had never thought of entering any course of that kind, but when it was proposed, she thought that, aftezr all, it couldn’t harm her to try. There, she learned that there were other means of relieving her stress than hitting someone. She learned to soothe herself with rhythms and melodies. Followed by a psychiatrist, she finally came to term with the fact that she had actually killed someone, but also with the fact that she would never, ever correspond to the common standards of normalcy, and that she should learn to deal with it.
She slowly but steadily changed to an energetic, smiley person, full of life and energy, but who did not yet know what to do of it. She learned to love dance, and to be more patient and understanding with others. Step by step, she grew closer to her parents again, though things never really came back to the way they were before the accident.

When she got out of teenage detention, she was contacted by Pr. Xavier, who offered her a place at the Mansion. Not wishing to face her parents or other people from her town, she accepted and thus never went back to her parent’s house.
Her first move when arriving at the mansion was to ask for Adam to be brought in as well. He was, after all, held prisoner by his own parents and, all in all, in a far worse situation than hers, or so she believed, and Professor Xavier agreed.

When Grelot went with Logan and Ororo to retrieve Adam, she had the great displeasure of finding him unconscious in his room, where the temperature was of only 5c°. Adam was immediately transported back to Xavier’s institute, where he got out of his cold-induced coma, and where he recovered pretty well, even though his hands sensibility significantly decreased after that.
Grelot quickly fit in the small community of “Mutant High” mostly hanks to Hank and Kurt’s help who, as fellow furry people took her under their wings and helped her get to know the place better. Pulling Adam alongside her, she settled in a simple but rather happy daily routine. Adam was by her side, people around her accepted her as she was, even if they knew of her questionable past (and tendency to punctuate her sentences in a rather physical manner, as proved the concussions on their arms) things would have been perfect if only she had known what she wanted to do after her studies which, by the bored her more than anything.

It was only after two years spent at Xavier’s that Grelot had the idea to set up a S.O.S line for Mutants, with her parents’ financial help, even going so far as to completely stop doing anything in classes. At first, she ran the blog and phone line of S.O.S, Mutants in distress alone (Adam helped a bit with the website part, but being deaf, he couldn’t really answer the phone calls which kept ringing at all times of day or night). But then, after a couple of months, Malicia joined her, followed by other young Mutants, including but not limited to residents of the institute.
In the twenty years following the creation of the hotline, Grelot saw her projects grow more and more ambitious, until she was at the head of a vast helping web for mutants. It wasn’t lucrative but as she liked to say, with Adam (whom she had married during their 25th year) being a lawyer, they could afford a very correct life and have the satisfaction of truly helping people on top of it.
